About LEDs
LEDs are bright and the color is extremely pure. LED Manufacturers expect a minimum of 100,000 hour life compared to neon which gives 30,000 hours to 80,000 hours depending on maintenance and weather. Maintenance...LED's require little or no maintenance and do not use a ballast. Safety...Secondary voltage of the LEDs we use are 12 volt DC. Low voltage makes them extremely safe while neon uses 1,000 to 15,000 volts. Efficient...LEDs use as little as 20 % of the power of equivalent neon. Low power consumption translates into inexpensive electrical service installations compared to neon. Longevity...LEDs stay bright and do not lose any color clarity for years. This means you can add to your LED signage at a later date and should not encounter any problems matching color. That doesn't work with neon as tube colors fade with time.
